
Montgomery Scholars Honors Program
The Montgomery Scholars Program is a selective-admission two-year interdisciplinary honors program designed for high school graduates as the first step in completing a four-year degree. As a Montgomery Scholar, you’ll be part of an exciting community of honors students sharing common intellectual and cultural experiences over the course of your two years at Montgomery College. We emphasize interdisciplinary discourse and encourage students from all academic disciplines to apply.
Montgomery Scholars will launch their college studies at a fraction of the cost of most four-year schools. The College will award merit scholarships to each student admitted into the Scholars program for fall 2017. These Montgomery Scholars scholarships cover the cost of full-tuition and fees, for two years of study at Montgomery College (30 credits per year at the in-county resident tuition rate).

Stephen J. Brady Stop Hunger Scholarships
A program that recognizes students who are driving awareness and mobilizing youth to be catalysts for innovative models that provide solutions to eliminate hunger in America. Scholarship winners receive a $5,000 scholarship and a $5,000 grant for their hunger-related charity. The Stephen J. Brady Stop Hunger Scholarship is named for the Foundation's founder and former president, Steve Brady, who was an unstoppable champion in the fight to end hunger.

Ron Brown Scholar Program
The Ron Brown Scholar Fund is a 501(c)3 public charity, managed by an independent Board of Trustees. The Program which was named for the late Secretary of Commerce and inspired by his dedication to public service, focuses on encouraging civic engagement among Scholars while promoting academic excellence, community and lifelong interactions. Recipients are young African Americans of outstanding promise who are offered academic scholarships, service opportunities and leadership experiences.

The Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation supports over 1,400 college students each year, with annual scholarships of $3.45 million, through two nationally recognized programs.

THE COCA-COLA SCHOLARS PROGRAM SCHOLARSHIP is an achievement-based scholarship awarded to graduating high school seniors each year. Students are recognized for their capacity to lead and serve, and their commitment to making a significant impact on their schools and communities. With the 28th class in 2016, the Foundation has provided over 5,700 Coca-Cola Scholars with more than $60 million in educational support. 150 Coca-Cola Scholars are selected each year to receive this $20,000 scholarship.

High Bridge Foundation
The Foundation provides five (5) $1,000 scholarships and five (5) $500 book scholarships to graduating high school seniors who are experiencing undue hardships, whether due to extreme poverty, family problems, immigration, adoption, or disabilities, so they can pursue their dream of attending trade school, community college, college, or university. Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Scholarship
The College JumpStart Scholarship is an annual, merit-based competition -- financial need is not considered -- that is open to 10th-12th graders, college students and non-traditional students. Junior Achievement Essay Competition

VFW Voice of Democracy Scholarship
Each year, nearly 40,000 high school students from across the country enter to win a share of $2 million in educational scholarships and incentives awarded through the VFW’s Voice of Democracy audio-essay competition.
The VFW established the Voice of Democracy program (VOD) in 1947 to provide students grades 9-12 the opportunity to express themselves in regards to democratic ideas and principles.

Each year, Comcast asks principals and guidance counselors to help us identify the best and the brightest high school seniors for recognition as Comcast Leaders and Achievers. GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship
Honoring the legacy and character of our nation’s 40th President, the GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program rewards college-bound students who demonstrate exemplary leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship with financial assistance to pursue higher education. Each year, the Program selects numerous recipients to receive a $10,000 scholarship renewable for up to an additional three years – up to $40,000 total per recipient. APIASF General Scholarship Program
The APIASF General Scholarship online application opens on September 1, 2016 and closes on January 11, 2017 at 11:59 PM EST. Scholarship awards range from one-time $2,500 awards to multi-year $20,000 awards. APIASF provides scholarships to underserved AAPI students with a special focus on those who:

Each year, at our annual spring gala, Smart Kids with Learning Disabilities® recognizes students from all over the country who have achieved great success despite their learning challenges. The Fred J. Epstein Youth Achievement Awards celebrate outstanding accomplishments of young people with LD and ADHD who have already done amazing things, leaving an indelible mark on their schools and communities. Many are poised to go on to even bigger and better achievements in college and workplaces across America.​

This award recognizes the strengths and accomplishments of young people
with learning disabilities and ADHD. It will be given to a student 19 or younger who has demonstrated initiative, talent and determination resulting in a notable accomplishment in any field—including art, music, science, math, athletics or community service.

“I Empower” Scholarship
As part of its commitment to the Greater Washington community, Thursday Network developed a scholarship program to help high school students pursue a college education. Since 1992, the Thursday Network I EMPOWER Scholarship Fund has awarded $153,000 in college assistance to high school seniors in Washington, DC, Montgomery County, MD, and Prince George's County, MD. Cynthia E. Morgan Scholarship
This scholarship was established in order to foster and instill the belief that Cindy always carried - that education and learning were of paramount importance. This scholarship is intended to help a student defray some small portion of the ever-increasing costs of a college education. As well, this scholarship is being awarded only to a person who is a "first-generation" college student. Cindy's son John was in the first generation of his family to attend and graduate college. Many first-generation college students are not prepared for the intensity and lifestyle associated with pursuing a college degree in the way that children are in families where previous generations have completed the rigors of a college education. This scholarship is intended to help alleviate some of the frustration and costs associated with college expenses.

Dwight P. Jacobus Scholarships
The Dwight P. Sherry Hintz Scholarship
The Sherry S. Hintz Scholarship Fund was created by an anonymous donor in memory of the women of the Hintz family (especially the donor’s sister, Sherry). McDonald’s Educates

American Society of Military Comptrollers
The American Society of Military Comptrollers (ASMC) annually recognizes the outstanding accomplishments of its chapters, membership and the defense financial management community through its awards program. This program encompasses individual and team achievement awards, scholarships, educational grants, an essay contest, chapter recognition, and a variety of other individual based awards.

LULAC National Scholarship Fund
LNESC and LULAC established the LULAC National Scholarship Fund (LNSF) to help youth in underserved communities make the dream of college enrollment a reality. LNSF is a unique partnership between grassroots advocates and corporations that funds educational opportunities for deserving youth across the U.S. Every dollar raised by local LULAC Councils is matched by corporate partners secured by LNESC, increasing the amount given in both the council and corporate names. This model results in a true grassroots/corporate partnership for the empowerment of the Latino community. Former recipients of LNSF scholarships are now leaders in fields of business, science, government, and education. A rigorous selection process assures the expectation that future recipients will demonstrate the same level of excellence.​

Central Scholarship
Central Scholarship awards nearly $1 million in scholarships each year. With more than 30 different programs, we have funding opportunities for students at every level, from career and technology training, to undergraduate degrees, all the way through graduate and professional school. Students can receive up to $10,000 a year, and up to $40,000 lifetime.

Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Scholarships
Each award is intended to cover a significant share of the student’s educational expenses – including tuition, living expenses, books and required fees. Awards vary by individual, based on the cost of tuition as well as other grants or scholarships he or she may receive.
This highly competitive scholarship includes:

Up to $40,000 per year to attend a four-year accredited undergraduate school

Personal advising about selecting a college and navigating financial aid

Multifaceted advising about how to transition to college and maximize the college student experience

Minimum Eligibility Requirements
At a minimum, applicants must:

Plan to graduate from a US high school in spring 2017

Intend to enroll in an accredited four-year college beginning in fall 2017

Earn a cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.5 or above

SAT combined critical reading and math score of 1200 (based on the old SAT scores) or above and/or ACT composite score of 26 or above

Demonstrate significant unmet financial need. We will consider applicants with family income up to $95,000. However, we anticipate that a majority of scholarship recipients will be eligible to receive a Pell grant

Board of Trustees Academic Specialty Scholarship
The Board of Trustees Academic Specialty Scholarship for 2017-2018 is now available! Students will be notified of the decision of the scholarship committee by May 1, 2017. Priority consideration for BOT scholarships will be given to students who intend to enroll at Montgomery College for at least one academic year (two semesters: fall 2017 and spring 2018).

To be considered for a BOT Academic Specialty Scholarship, students must meet the following requirements:

May/June 2017 Montgomery County public/private high school graduate

Admitted to a degree program at Montgomery College

Minimum 3.0 high school grade point average (weighted grade point average)

Plan to attend Montgomery College for both fall 2017 and spring 2018. Recipients who do not enroll for fall 2017 will lose their award.

2017-2018 National High School Oratorical Contest Scholarship
The American Legion Oratorical Contest exists to develop deeper knowledge and appreciation for the U.S. Constitution among high school students. Since 1938, the program has presented participants with an academic speaking challenge that teaches important leadership qualities, the history of our nation’s laws, the ability to think and speak clearly, and an understanding of the duties, responsibilities, rights and privileges of American citizenship. The program has featured numerous politicians and prominent contestants over the years, including former president candidate Alan Keyes and CNN anchor Lou Dobbs.
Qualifications:

Eligible participants must be citizens of or lawful permanent residents of the United States

All contestants must be bona fide students herein described as any student under the age of 20 years on the date of the national contest who is presently enrolled in a high school or junior high school (public, parochial, military, private or home school)

The curriculum of the school must be considered to be of high school level, commencing with grade 9 and terminating with grade 12. Students must be enrolled in high school or junior high school during the time of participation at any level of The American Legion National High School Oratorical Contest

Contestants must either be legally domiciled within or attend an educational institution within the department that they enter competition

Contestants can enter competition through only one department

High school students that graduate early during the school year are eligible to compete if they are not enrolled in a college, university, trade school or other institution of higher learning at the time of the department finals contest
Montgomery County (MD) Alumnae Chapter Delta Sigma Theta Sorority
The Montgomery County Alumnae Chapter Scholarship Program was created to provide financial assistance to students who reside in Montgomery County, MD, and contribute their skills and talents towards the improvement of their community.

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc 2017 Scholarship
Since 1975, the Foundation has awarded thousands of dollars in scholarships and fellowships for higher education to both Zetas and Non-Zetas. The Foundation has processed hundreds of other scholarships, as a part of its Chapter Designated Scholarship Program, established in 1980. Under the program, local scholarships and fellowships are awarded by chapters throughout the country. The Foundation’s Scholarship Program is funded by support of its principal donor. Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., through chapter tax and life member fees, by contributions and gift from members and chapters, by the Board of Manager’s contributions and fundraising, memorial scholarships, as well as fundraising at the Regional and State level. Endowments has been established for the foundation at the National level, Chapter level, and by the Board of Managers.
